What challenges do students experience?
Surveys and sessions have been used to identify the main challenges faced by students. These have been divided into two main categories: social and academic.

The challenges during transition were identified, grouped in themes and subthemes across all participants in focus groups. This matrix shows challenges in social and academic integration that were most highly ranked as problematic by each minority group.
The selected interventions were mapped to the challenges identified among first-year students in the In-4-STEM project, which were categorized under the domains of academic and social integration.
